I read a quote that says:
“the earth without art is just eh”.
That’s a powerful statement. Art is not just a creative outlet that makes life richer. It’s not just a pastime that entertains us. Art has been used to document history. From the drawings on the pyramid walls in Egypt, to the paintings on Greek and Roman ceramic work, to the photos and videos taken today to document a piece of human history, thanks to art we know our past.
A past we can learn and grow from if we take the time to investigate what it teaches us.
Art is important.
Today we live in a world where social media content is equivalent to currency. Social media provides a platform for regular people like you and me to share our artistic expressions. We don’t have to be Picasso or Van Goh, we just need to learn the basics. Like with anything, the more you do it, the better you become.
I have a deep-rooted belief that we are not meant to do life alone. One-on-one communication and learning is a pivotal instrument in our personal development.
Why am I telling you all this?
I’m happy to announce that Pereyra Photos is now serving homeschoolers ages 14-18, as well as mama’s with cameras with a one-on-one educational opportunity!
I mean, there are only so many YouTube videos you can watch and self-teach before you realize that you need someone else to help you develop your craft.
The Family Documentarian course is designed for moms with a camera.
Having a baby reminds you of how quick we grow. Babies don’t keep and moms usually take the role of family documentarian.
This training includes 3 one-on-one lessons to help you familiarize yourself with the settings of your DSLR camera as well as shoot portraits of your children. Don’t have a DSLR? Not to worry, you can use one of ours or opt to learn the basics of aesthetical composition to help you curate stronger family photos on the camera you always have on you, your phone! You have an eye; we just have to train it with the basics before you spread your photographic wings and soar into your very own style.
The Home-Schooled Creative course is a great extracurricular opportunity for your student.
We admire parents who want to provide their children with a home-school education. Pereyra Photos is eager to assist in your child’s home school education journey by providing a 3-month one-on-one program to assist with your child’s creative needs. We are eager to provide your child with a tailored experience so they can shine in the genre of photography they are attracted to most and have a strong portfolio & certificate of completion to showcase at the end of our program.
Registration will open the first week of March. Space is limited so if you are interested in applying, please write “I’m so excited” in the comment section below and we will be sure to reach out to you with a short application.
